Huroof Al-Muqatta'at - Final Analysis

Huroof Al-Muqatta'at - Hamiduddin Farahi's Method

FINAL ANALYSIS

This post will utilize all the data I collected while researching the definition of each letter, based on the context of the Chapter. It will be highly generalized due to the variety of definitions for each letter. Some are much more obvious than others. Some may even have dual-meanings. It is up to the reader to decide whether or not my research has proven true.

The following Chart lists each Letter, along with it's total Occurrence  Following are the multiple definitions I gathered from the 2 charts on the first page. Some are modified due to a newer understanding of the Chapter after reading it. Each definition will have a number to it's right. This is the Overall Frequency of that definition throughout the Qur'an(i.e. the Chapters that begin with Disjointed-Letters). The numbers do not represent the Overall Frequency within the Chapters. I've only included Explicit references to the definition because Implicit references are opinion-based and up to the reader to decide.

Meem: This undoubtedly refers to Water. It specifically refers to Rain 40% of the time. The secondary definition is the Womb, which is referred to 28% of the time.

Alif: This refers primarily to Cows/Cattle/Livestock. The secondary definition is general Strength(mostly in light of God), which is referred to 45% of the time. There are quite a few references to Polytheism.

Laam: This refers to Learning/Knowledge/Understanding in all cases. There a few weak references to the Fire/Hell, which occur 22% of the time.

HaIt is impossible to say what this exactly refers to. It may equally refer to the Throne of God, the 'heavens and the Earth', and compare/contrast Paradise and Hell. Whichever it specifically is, it has a physical 'fencing' involved.

Ra: This refers to light in all cases. It may refer to radiance/divinity, which occurs 43% of the time, or Celestial Bodies, which occur 57% of the time. The more likely answer is the combination of both.

Seen: The primary definition is Listening/Hearing, which occurs 57% of the time. The secondary definition is Helping/Supporting, which occurs 43% of the time. The secondary one is highly doubtful, so it is probably the primary one.

Sad: This refers to Truth/Righteousness in all cases.

Ta: This undoubtedly refers to Snakes/Serpents.

HaIt is impossible to say what this exactly refers to. It may equally refer to Windows/physical separation and/or a Connection/Guide.

Ya: The primary and literal definition of this Letter is Hands, which occurs 66% of the time. Purity is a secondary definition that occurs 33% of the time.

Ayn: The primary and literal definition of this Letter is Eye, which occurs the same amount of times as Lofty/Raised.

Qaf: This may refer to the Brain(Mind), but it only occurs 33% of the time. The secondary definition, Power, occurs 66% of the time.

KafThis may refer to Prayer, but there is not enough evidence to support this definition.

Nun: This undoubtedly refers to Fish.

Now you should be able to tell everyone you know what these 'mysterious' Disjointed-Letters are!
